HISTORY
Chen Wangting 1580-1660 was a Ming Dynasty general who founded Chen-style Tai Chi Ch’uan, one of the five major styles of the popular chinese martial art.
He devised the Chen family style of Chen-style Tai Chi Ch’uan in his home of Chenjiagou Wexian county, Henan province, after he retired there following the fall of the Ming Dynasty.
In time gone by great masters have dedicated their time and skill to students and now in the very present that continues in the Chen village and all over the world. Grandmaster Chen Xiaowang is the 19th Generation Lineage Holder Chen Family Taijiquan. He emigrated to Australia around 1990 his brother Chen Xiaoxing lives in the Chen village and teaches along with other great masters.
The Four Tigers of Chen village are Chen Xiaowang, Chen Zhenglei, Wang Xi,an, Zhu Tiancai, Chen Xiaowang’s son Chen Yingjun and Chen Xiaoxing’s son Chen Ziqiang come to England to hold seminars.
